Welcome to 7 Mile Road. 7 Mile Road is the student ministry of Dover Baptist Church. We are a ministry that exist for youth and is led by a solid group of individuals who love helping students see who they are 'In Christ.'
At 7 Mile Road we are two things first and foremost. First we are a welcoming environment seeking out other students to join our community and go through life together with us. Secondly we, as a group unapologetically proclaim Jesus Christ as our risen savior.
We believe he came to the earth, died for our sin and rose again three days later on the cross.
Here at 7 Mile Road we take our name from Luke 24:13-35. It is in this passage that two disciples are traveling on the road to Emmaus after the resurrection when they are joined by Jesus himself. For the entire journey they do not know that it is Jesus who is with them. They are also discouraged because although they have heard that Jesus has risen they haven't quite caught the whole picture. However as they reach the end of the journey, a journey in which Jesus was proclaiming to them all the ways in which he was the fulfillment and their great hope, they invite Jesus inside to fellowship with them. Here he breaks bread and their eyes are opened. With this Jesus disappears, their eyes have been opened and they recognize then that he is the risen savior! They also realize that the entire time Jesus was with them their hearts were burning within them. This is such a work of God that immediately they realize they must begin to share this with others. They get up and return making the 7 mile trek back to the other disciples to proclaim Christ because this is something they cannot keep to themselves.
We would love to have you join us, whether it be during the week for different events that we may have going on or on Sunday night. On Sunday nights we meet as a group at 5:00 pm. We look forward to having you join us!

To know whether or not a meeting of Maranatha will be canceled due to inclement weather, listen to WTSN (1270) on your radio. If the Dover schools are not in session because of the weather, the Maranatha meeting will also be canceled.
Newcomers to Maranatha are welcome at any time.
